Let's be honest here. I never liked poetry until two years ago. Before that I couldn't stand it and abhored literature classes because inevitably it would lead to poetry.

Then I was forced to read HD (Hilda Doolittle) and my vision of poetry changed. I found amazing haikus and form poetry that just -- I don't know how to express how it felt. It was freeing in form.

Poetry is an amazing way to express emotion and tell a story. It's so entirely different from prose yet you'll see a heavy-prose poem style in my work.
